HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I START LOOKING FOR MY WEDDING DRESS?
We have noticed that every girl has her own style when it comes to how they shop for their dress, some are shopping before he has even popped the question, whilst others leave it until its almost their wedding day… Our suggestion? Start looking a MINIMUM eight months BEFORE your wedding day, or if you are jet setting overseas for your big day (you lucky thing) then start looking eight months prior to your departure date. A wedding dress designed by Roz la Kelin generally takes six months to create, with two months left for your stress free fittings.Should you find your perfect gown two years before your wedding, buy it! Not only will you have plenty of time to then decide on all the other details of your day, but you don’t risk missing out on your perfect dress. Styles are discontinued every season, so if you wait…your dream dress may no longer be available.
WHAT IF MY WEDDING IS LESS THEN FOUR MONTHS AWAY?
Don’t stress, its okay… simply contact one of our authorised stockists and explain your situation. Roz la Kelin carries a selected range of new gowns that are available for immediate purchase. There is no additional charge for this service and in some instances a discount can apply.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH STYLE TO BUY?
Your personal taste is important, so we suggest first browsing through our labels galleries and making a short list of your favourites. Check our stockist tabs under each label to find the authorised store closest to you. The next part is easy. Contact them to make an appointment with your own personal stylist who will guide you and assist you in determining how to accentuate your best assets with the perfect gown for you!
WHAT IF I LOSE WEIGHT?
This is definitely our most frequently asked question! We think all of our brides are beautiful no matter what size or shape, but we also understand that most brides plan on losing weight before they walk down the aisle. Quite a few do, however this doesn’t always change what size gown you should order. It is also good to remember that most gowns typically will need to be altered before your wedding to make it absolutely perfect for you. It is always better – and often cheaper – to take a gown in rather then let it out!
So if you are delaying purchasing your gown because you want to lose weight first, talk about this with your stylist as we take all of that into account for you. It is better to order earlier rather then delay.
Roz la Kelin uniquely designs her gowns for all her labels so that every bride can easily have her gown taken in up to two full sizes without changing the overall look of the gown. Something else that is good to keep in mind is the option of a lace up back, this always allows you room to expand and shrink, which all of us girls know… can happen from week to week.
WHAT IF I GAIN WEIGHT?
Roz la Kelin really understands the female form; to prove this she allows enough fabric in her gowns seams so your dress can be let out one full size without changing the overall fit or design of the gown. Isn’t she amazing!
CAN I MAKE CHANGES?
Every gown designed by Australian based designer Roz la Kelin is unique. Her designs are personal and created with love, so when you purchase one of her gowns you are not purchasing a generic random gown, you are buying a piece of Roz la Kelin.
This does not mean you cannot put your own personal touch to it.
Upon request many of the laces, appliqués and extra fabric can be made available to you. Your personal stylist at any of our authorised stores can assist you with this.
Most of Roz la Kelin’s gowns are available in an array of shades. White and Ivory are standard, also available are Diamond White, Café, Pearl, Frost…some gowns are specifically designed around a beautiful colour.
You can also add sleeves, belts, lace, tulle bows – whatever you can dream of. In most instances your dressmaker can even change the neckline if it is not quite as you would like…the options are endless.
LACE UP, ZIPPER OR BUTTONS? CAN I CHOOSE?
Many of Roz la Kelin’s gowns are available in both options. If the sample gown you tried has a lace up back but you would prefer a zip back, simply ask your stylist if your gown is available with that option. It most likely will be and at no additional cost. Buttons may also available if the suit the design - a small cost may apply per button.
I DON’T WANT A TRAIN.
Simply ask your authorized store or dressmaker to remove it when they are hemming the gown…simple !
WHY SHOULDN’T I BUY DIRECTLY OFF THE INTERNET?
Sadly, quite often we get brides in store (usually the week of their wedding) in tears as their internet gown has arrived late and it is not as it should be – the fabric is terrible, the beading is scary and the fit is all wrong!
Our manufacturer does not supply directly to the public. Anybody claiming to make any of Roz la Kelin’s labels are not directly associated with us, they will not have the specific specifications to be able to create a Roz la Kelin gown. Roz la Kelin has spent years sourcing the perfect fabrics, laces & beading for her designs.
When you purchase a Roz la Kelin gown from an authorised dealer you receive a ‘Certificate of Authenticity’ with each gown and personalised, knowledgeable, professional service in store.
